„Everything starts in your MIND“
The decline of democratic values, the polarization of our societies, and the erosion of a culture of respectful debate – challenges that affect us all.
The rise of isolationism, the strengthening of extremist movements, and the denial of scientific findings – developments that threaten our future.
We are convinced that a fact-based culture of debate is the foundation for respectful cooperation. Understanding scientific work opens new perspectives and protects against the arbitrariness of supposed "truths."
And by promoting STEM skills, we strengthen our society's ability to overcome complex challenges – together, responsibly, and with a focus on the future.

As Mittelhessisches Institut für Nachhaltigkeit und Diversität, we want to make an active contribution to addressing current societal challenges. As an independent, modern educational institution that focuses on science, democracy, and global cooperation, we link our work to the future-oriented issues of our time. We are not only concerned with imparting knowledge, but also with strengthening skills that enable people to think critically, argue based on facts, and act responsibly.
We offer free experimentation, research-based learning, project work, courses, and seminars. At the same time, we teach science literacy and the conscious use of modern media. We combine fun and games with STEM education centered around space and aerospace, focusing on gaming and modern technologies such as virtual and augmented reality. We also train teachers and educational staff in modern methodology, didactics, and media literacy. In this way, we create spaces where children, young people, and adults develop STEM skills, understand science, and learn to foster a culture of respectful debate.
We believe that opportunities lie precisely in the crises and upheavals of our time – opportunities that must be equally accessible to all people. Because only when knowledge is shared, curiosity is encouraged, and participation is enabled can we together shape a future worth living. And because every change begins small, we want to start in Central Hesse to move step by step – with regional, national, and international partners – closer to our goal..
