- Volunteers (m/f/d) are looking for someone to work on the project "ANKER - Arrive, Get to Know, Experience," which is funded by the "Special Funding Ukraine" of Aktion Mensch and the charitable foundation of Sparkasse Gießen. The goal of the ANKER project is to offer supportive and language-sensitive care and learning opportunities for refugee children and young people from Ukraine as part of the afternoon programs at primary and secondary schools in the Gießen district, as well as excursions, games, and sports events for the whole family during the school holidays. Your profile:
- You have completed or are currently studying a degree in pedagogy, Slavic studies, educational science, early childhood education, psychology (or similar).
- Ideally, you are fluent in Ukrainian and/or Russian.
- You may have experience working with children and young people, as well as their parents and/or conducting lessons or other learning opportunities, or you have basic pedagogical knowledge. Your tasks:
- Development and implementation of various afternoon programs as well as vacation programs for different age groups. (approx. 6-16 years) on various topics such as games and sports (football, volleyball, basketball), art and crafts, gardening or gaming (Minecraft), etc.
- Organization and implementation of cultural excursions and events as well as introduction and introduction to club life in Germany We offer
- 25 euros per hour (preparation and follow-up time will also be reimbursed)
- Training and close support by the project assistant and project management as well as involvement in the content development and adaptation of the offers

- Student employees (m/f/d) for teaching students skills in the fields of biology/chemistry/physics/mechatronics or IT. Your tasks:
- Conducting afternoon programs at general education schools for students from 7th grade onwards (especially girls),
- Inspiring students' enthusiasm for careers in the STEM field,
- Developing teaching and learning content and teaching methods in collaboration with project staff,
- Supporting the organization and implementation of student competitions,
- Online support for student project assignments. Your profile:
- You are studying biology / chemistry / physics / mechatronics or IT,
- You are interested in imparting basic knowledge to pupils through projects and experiments and getting them excited about STEM topics,
- Ideally, you already have experience in conducting seminars, teaching or other learning opportunities or you have basic pedagogical knowledge
- You enjoy working in a young project team and with pupils aged 12 - 15
- You enjoy familiarising yourself with new areas of responsibility and dealing with new technologies for teaching basic skills
- Ideally, you are familiar with the terms Minecraft, Kerbal Space Program, Arduino, bionics4education or are willing to familiarise yourself with them (depending on your focus).
