Strengthening the regional
STEM network
From September 2022 to August 2025, MIND took over the coordination office for the development of the regional STEM cluster MINTmit in Central Hesse on behalf of Regionalmanagement Mittelhessen. During this time, a network of over 130 STEM professionals from education, science, business, and local government was established.
For the second funding phase from September 2025 to August 2027, MIND will continue to act as a service provider on behalf of Regionalmanagement Mittelhessen. The focus will be on the strategic development of the network, the creation of a regional MINTmit action plan, and the sustainable professionalization of the cluster structures.
Our services include strategic consulting, evaluation and quality management, conception and support of networking events, as well as advice on financing and sustainability models.
Funded by the Federal Ministry of Education, Family Affairs, Senior Citizens, Women and Youth (BMBFSFJ), the Regionalmanagement Mittelhessen, in cooperation with the district of Gießen and the Technical University of Central Hesse (THM), has set itself the goal of strengthening MINTmit in the long term as a central platform for extracurricular STEM education in Central Hesse and of further developing the regional educational landscape in a data-based and future-proof manner.
